ABiz will publish its eighth annual Top 50 list of private companies as a cover story on July 17, along with profiles of several of these local companies. The companies are ranked based on annual revenues.

As many area companies struggle to regroup and retool their business models in a time of economic uncertainty ­— much of that attributable to the downturn in the oil and gas industry — it becomes more critical to focus on their successes and the people behind them. This is precisely what this year’s Top 50 issue will aim to accomplish.

ABiz is requesting that privately owned companies headquartered in Lafayette, Acadia, Evangeline, St. Landry, Iberia, St. Martin, St. Mary, Jeff Davis and Vermilion parishes submit their information to Leslie Turk at lesliet@theind.com and Erin Z. Bass at erinzbass@gmail.com to qualify. Companies can download the Top 50 form here.
