Lafayette/Scott businessman Dan Menard was elected chairman of the board of directors of St. Martin Bank and Trust Company. The announcement was made by former Chairman Emile J. Barras, who is now serving as chairman of the board emeritus.

Through Centurion Companies and his related entities, Menard has been involved throughout his career with investment real estate, including land development, commercial construction, leasing and sales, and property management. A Lafayette native, he has been an active participant in more than 40 commercial and residential developments in the Acadiana area in the past 45 years.

St. Martin Bank has 12 locations throughout Acadiana, including St. Martinville, Lafayette, Rayne, Church Point, Crowley, Elton, Welsh and Jennings.
